Our Story

A Local Mom & Pop Shop, Serving Our Community Since 2009

Tucked just off the Danforth in East York, Carter's Ice Cream is the corner where the neighbourhood comes to slow down. Owner Tammy Wiseberg has been scooping premium Kawartha Dairy ice cream — made in Ontario with fresh milk and fresh cream — since 2009, and presses our signature homemade waffle cones, bowls and fans in-store. Whether you're grabbing a junior scoop after the splash pad or designing a custom ice cream cake for a milestone, you'll get the same warm welcome and the good stuff in every cup.

Catering & Events

Carter's Is Now Mobile

The only place in Toronto for premium ice cream event catering.

We pack up the parlour — pink tablecloths, homemade waffle fans and all — and bring the full Carter's experience to you. Choose a classic ice cream social with two-scoop sundaes and a build-your-own topping bar, two-scoop cups, or a grazing box or table. We cater events from 50 to 1,500 guests across the GTA, and handle professional setup, friendly service and complete teardown so you can just enjoy the scoops.

Tenant appreciation events, employee appreciation parties, staff picnics, BBQs and seminars with full-service scooping on site.

Weddings & Celebrations

Weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs and party extravaganzas — a memorable sundae station or dessert centrepiece your guests will talk about.

Good to Know

Do you have dairy-free, vegan or gluten-free options?

Yes! We keep dairy-free, vegan and gluten-free options on hand. There's a small additional charge for some specialty options — just ask at the counter.

Can you make a custom ice cream cake?

Absolutely. Our cakes are layered cake, ice cream, cake — with candy toppings or inside layers, plus fondant decoration and images on request. A small cake feeds 8–10 and a medium feeds 16–18. Please note many of the candies we use contain nuts. Call or email ahead to choose your flavour.

What ice cream do you serve?

We proudly serve premium Kawartha Dairy ice cream, made locally in Ontario with fresh milk and fresh cream.

How does your event catering work?

We cater events from 50 to 1,500 guests across the GTA. Every booking includes professional setup and teardown, up to 2 hours of service, 4 Kawartha Dairy flavours, a topping bar, and cups, spoons and napkins — with no transportation fee within the GTA.
